Yes, for the first time in three years - it has rained during the day on a weekend forcing me to abandon plans for hiking, biking, golfing and instead devote time to the much needed update of the Web Page. I'm sure by now that I've lost the regular three people who occasionally check for updates - I'll call you to let you know it's been changed. In the past, I've tried to coincide updates to major events in my life - or in the lives of Carrie's cats. For example, the van hitting the 200,000 mile mark or Matt finding a girl friend - but alas, these are still things in the future.
The only events of late were my Colonoscopy and the passing away of my mom - Fran Tuchband. They both had the same feeling. Fran found out she had untreatable cancer the day after Christmas and after two months of suffering she moved on to a better place on March 2, 2001. My sister Linda provided the brunt of the care giving those last few months and I can't thank her enough for those efforts. I've included as a link below, a copy of the front page article that appeared in the local paper. Over 200 people attended the memorial service - and she only lived in Rancho Bernardo a half dozen years. A testament to her ability to make friends with all she came in contact with.
In Chicago it was squirrels, Colorado it's Elk
Moving on, we've got pictures from the ski trip with Carrie, Matt, Adam - and a couple of rookie tag-alongs. The annual boys fishing trip in Matlashea (it isn't spelled correctly and I don't care - so don't e-mail me) Florida. Again the CU Kinetics race - so humor me, Lindsay Pann's wedding, and the PotPourri that has always been a favorite for so many viewers.
