This
was the start of a very smoky, dry, hot summer. The sad part about
this fire - like several others - was started on purpose. In
this case, a "handyman" contractor spent the money intended for materials
on other material items more related to the flesh and decided to burn his
trailer to cover his tracks. The pictures below show the fire from
my deck (the camera didn't capture the flames that were visible) and the
people on my deck were one of the evacuated families who stayed at the
shack till the fire was brought under control. The thank you note
from the kids was too cute to not make the web site.
