I'm not going to put captions to these pictures.  The premise is simple, teams of drunken college kids assemble a craft that must be powered only by humans and it first attempts to make it across the Boulder Reservoir, then travel a couple of miles across land/swamp and then cross the Reservoir again.  The more imaginative the craft - the greater chance it will have to be rescued during the water crossing.  Usually, 25,000 spectators pay no attention to the race but party like crazy on the beach.
